File Sharing Software Removal
According to the Appropriate Use Policy, downloading, sharing, or storing copyrighted materials without the consent of the copyright holder is a violation of copyright law and is prohibited at Trinity University. If you have used Peer-to- Peer (P2P) file sharing applications such as BearShare, Limewire, Morpheus or KaZaa to upload or download copyright protected material including, but not limited to music, movies, software, or original writings, you may be in violation of copyright laws and can be held accountable for your actions.
If the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), or their members identify your IP address as one that not in compliance with copyright laws and it is your first offense, Information Technology Services will request that you uninstall your P2P application(s) and delete all shared files immediately.If you are unsure as to how to uninstall P2P file sharing applications from your computer, click the link below that corresponds to your operating system to download complete uninstallation instructions.
