TRANSFER CREDIT [pdf]
Current students must have a Transfer Credit Approval form on file to attain credits from other institutions. Transfer credits must be approved by the respective department chair. Transfer Credit Approval forms are located in our office. For more information, review the Guide to Transfer Credit and the Courses of Study Bulletin for important rules and policies pertaining to transfer credit.
Trinity University accepts dual credit (college courses taken as part of the secondary school curriculum) only if the courses taken were not used to satisfy Trinity's expectations for admission outlined in the Admission Minimum Course Expectations section and have met all other mandated transfer requirements.
Students with foreign academic credentials must have their transcripts evaluated and if necessary, translated into English by an established, reputable, foreign credentials evaluation agency. The student covers the fees. Cick for a listing of credentials evaluation services and more information.

Advanced Placement Examinations [pdf]
Trinity University allows students to earn credit prior to entrance through College Board Advanced Placement Program. Trinity awards credit for most AP examination scores of 4 or 5. The student's academic advisor will usually have this information before the student registers for classes at Trinity.
Cambridge University Internationational Examinations
Trinity University recognizes some Cambridge University International Examinations, and students may contact the Registrar for further details regarding placement credits in individual academic disciplines.
Departmental examinations in specific courses available to qualified students upon approval of the chair of the department in which the examination must be taken. Credit for the course will be granted provided the student passes the examination with a grade of B or higher.
International Baccalaureate Examinations [pdf]
Trinity University allows students to earn credit prior to entrance through the International Baccalaureate Program sponsored by the International Baccalaureate Organization of Geneva, Switzerland and the International Baccalaureate North American regional office in New York. Trinity awards credit for IB Higher Level Examination scores of 5, 6, or 7. Credit will be granted upon receipt of an official IB transcript.
