Why can't I use the Back Button to navigate TigerPAWS?
The limitation against using the Back button is a security issue; without this security feature, use of the Back button could make sensitive information vulnerable to unauthorized access. The vendor is reviewing the design of the web site to find solutions for enhancing the navigation capabilities.I have a question about Online Registration.
Refer to the Registrar's Online FAQ at http://www.trinity.edu/departments/registrar/OnlineReg_FAQ.htmI am having difficulty logging in to TigerPAWS. What is the problem?
Make sure that you are entering your username and password correctly. Both the username and password fields are case sensitive. If your login problems persist, contact the Helpdesk at 999-7409 or send e-mail to helpdesk@trinity.edu.What is TigerPAWS?
TigerPAWS is a Web interface that allows you to access information contained in the administrative database used by Trinity University. The application system that creates this database, Colleague or Benefactor, is the product of Datatel Inc. of Fairfax, Virginia. TigerPAWS, also a product of Datatel, consists of the forms and supporting infrastructure to extract and deliver information from this database to your desktop browser. All of the forms and infrastructure comprising TigerPAWS are the product of, and are supported by Datatel. The terms and restrictions of use may be found by clicking on the "Powered by Datatel" icon found on the Login page.Which browsers can I use with TigerPAWS?
TigerPAWS will operate effectively with the Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer browsers on PCs or Macintoshes. For best results the browsers should be Release 4.x level or later. While Internet Explorer Release 4.x functions satisfactorily on Macintosh platforms, you will achieve a more aesthetic appearance with Release 5. TigerPAWS has been installed on other platforms, such as X Windows, but it has not been rigorously tested on these platforms and the results may be problematical. How do I print a form using my browser?

After the form has printed you might want to reset your system back to Portrait mode by following the same procedure you used to set Landscape mode.

TigerPAWS puts a session cookie on your desktop when you log into the system. When you close your browser, the cookie is erased.I am being prompted to enter my username and password on each TigerPAWS screen.
Lower the security settings in your browser. Netscape security settings can be accessed by clicking Communicator, Tools, Security Info. Internet Explorer settings can be accessed by clicking Tools, Internet Options, Security. A medium security setting in Internet Explorer is recommended for best performance.I am getting slow response to my TigerPAWS queries. What is the problem?
There are a number of conditions that might affect your response time in TigerPAWS. Often an increase in the response time is related to traffic over the communication lines. Depending upon your location, TigerPAWS uses your campus Intranet, the Internet or both. The number of users on any portion of those systems will often slow the response time for everyone. Downloading large files via Trinity's communications lines will drastically increase response time for all other users on the system. High levels of TigerPAWS use by other members of the Trinity community also affect your response time. This is caused not only by increased user traffic, but also by the additional processing required of Trinity's host machine to respond to TigerPAWS queries. An example of a high-use time period would be during Web registration period. You may also experience slower performance during peak usage periods for your Internet Service Provider (ISP). You should notify your IT staff if you continue to experience poor performance during non-peak usage periods.
